(So, about 30-million edits to this because for some reason the bullets aren’t showing up. Going to add my own.)

So, you clicked the link. What made you click it? Curiosity, is my guess.

Anyway, who cares why you clicked it, but I am glad you did. Now that you’re here, sit back and read the few things I’ve jotted down in this sticky so that you may understand a bit about me and the reasons why I write on this blog.

The things you need to know about this blog:

  • I am doing a challenge in which I write at least 500 words a day.
    • I can write on any subject, no matter how stupid. (I can think pretty stupid at times.)
    • Each day will contain spelling, grammar, continuity errors. This is inevitable, but ok, as it is more important that I get the writing done and edit later.
  • Will you see the edits?
    • I doubt it.
  • Should you post comments about my weak grammar/spelling?
    • If you’d like, but you’ll just show your trollness and inability to read this sticky and therefore display your own lack of thoroughness.
  • Some of your posts have offensive words!
    • I write what I am feeling, or what my characters are feeling.
    • I do not believe vulgarity in stories adds to excitement or prestige, but I will neither censor myself, nor anyone else.
    • My opinion is that words are only as “offensive” as you make them. For example, my English friend thinks “shag” is the most vile of words. She hates my telling her that I want “shag” carpet in my home. Ah, jolly England. In my opinion, “hate” is more hurtful than “fuck”, you should never use the Lord’s name in vain, and you should never “damn” anyone, as it is not our place to do so.
    • If you don’t like it, don’t read it.
    • Lastly, don’t try to lecture me about your distaste for my language use. Bottom line, I don’t care.
  • November is a new challenge and during that month I will not have daily posts.
    • November’s challenge is to complete a complete, 50,000 word manuscript using the same guidelines as above.
    • I MAY publish this manuscript, but highly doubtful.
  • I am a previously-published author.
    • Twice, but only as a letter writer in the back of comic books.
      • Once was 2nd or 3rd place in a “Name the Universe” contest for Marvel’s New Universe.
      • Other was a letter to author Alan Grant, which gained me an original signed script from him. Awesome.
  • No, I don’t hate my little sister, she is in my stories a lot because we played togetherĀ a lot when we were growing up.
    • You’ll know when I write about people I don’t like. They typically break out in festering boils, or do something stupid, like ask me to move a rock.
  • Chester? Seriously?
    • Yes, Chester is real.
    • Yes, this is his real name, but not his first.
  • Yes, every post marked “Creative Non-fiction” happened in real life and is a real event. Yes, even the ring one. Ask my wife about it.
    • No, I don’t know if this falls into the actual realms of “Creative Non-Fiction”. It’s neither made-up, nor completely untrue; basically I have no idea.
  • Yes, I welcome verbal abuse for not meeting my daily 500-word quota.
    • Slam away!

Got any pressing questions? Send me an e-mail or comment and I’ll add it to this sticky FAQ thingy. (I am also updating this as new ideas pop into my head.)

Thanks for reading!
